Dear Fellow Lions, Community Leaders, Supporters and Friends,
It is with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I begin my term as President of the Markham Elite Lions Club.
The Lions motto, “We Serve,” reflects a simple idea that has inspired generations of Lions: when we come together with compassion and purpose, we can make a real difference in the lives of others.
For me, serving as President is both an honour and a responsibility. I have had the privilege of serving in Lions leadership before, including four years as President of Milliken Mills Lions Club from 2014 to 2018. Those years gave me valuable experience in leading a club, working with fellow Lions, building community relationships and, most importantly, understanding what can be achieved when members work together toward a common goal.
I now look forward to bringing that experience to the Markham Elite Lions Club.
Markham Elite Lions Club has established itself as a club that believes in meaningful community service. Our members come from different backgrounds and professions, but we are united by our willingness to give our time, skills and resources to help others.
As I begin this term, my goal is to build on the strong foundation created by our past Presidents and members. I believe that leadership is not about one person. It is about bringing people together, listening to ideas, encouraging participation and creating opportunities for everyone to contribute.
Our recent achievements demonstrate what teamwork can accomplish. One particularly meaningful milestone has been our support for the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation. Through our fundraising efforts, the Markham Elite Lions Club proudly contributed $100,000 toward the hospital’s Child Birthing Room. This achievement represents the generosity and dedication of our members, sponsors, donors, volunteers and community partners.
But every achievement is also a starting point for the next challenge.
During my term, I hope to strengthen our existing community partnerships while identifying new opportunities where our club can make a lasting difference.

We will continue to support causes that matter to our community, including healthcare, youth, families, vision, the environment and those who need a helping hand. Building a strong Lions Club is as much about community service as it is about the friendships, shared experiences, and sense of belonging we create together. Every member has valuable ideas and talents to contribute, and together we achieve far more than we ever could alone. I extend our deepest gratitude to our members, sponsors, donors, and community partners whose ongoing support transforms compassion into real action.
To my fellow Lions, thank you for your confidence and support. I look forward to working with all of you and making this another meaningful year of service for the Markham Elite Lions Club.
